Monthly Listening: July 2021
This month's rundown of great new releases by Daichi Yamamoto, Foodman, Hi,how are you and more
Hi! This is July’s Monthly Listening list, a quick rundown of new Japanese albums I checked out this month that I enjoyed. You can browse past Monthly Listenings in the archives.
I hope you found something new if you checked out last month’s list of my favorite albums of 2021 so far. July brings us back to regular scheduled programming with new Japanese releases I checked out throughout the month that I enjoyed. I had more free time this time around to listen to some new records as well as older Japanese albums. If you don’t mind, let me list a few that I liked: Chatmonchy’s Kokuhaku, Serani Poji’s One-Room Survival, bird’s bird, Plus-Tech Squeeze Box’s CARTOOOM!, and Pai Pai Dekami’s Let’s Dream Shogakko.
Here are new releases I liked in July. As always, here is a Spotify playlist of songs that didn’t make the cut this month.
