Monthly Listening: October 2022
This month's round-up of great new Japanese releases from Sandal Telephone, TENDRE, Nervous Light of Sunday and more
Hi! This is October’s Monthly Listening list, a quick rundown of new Japanese albums I checked out this month that I enjoyed. You can browse past Monthly Listenings in the archives.
I realize I didn’t really run down the plans as far as scheduled issues for This Side of Japan go for the rest of the year. I also did not tell you that I took a week off from writing to celebrate my birthday—very relaxing week, thank you for asking!—which put This Side of Japan on hold for a very brief time. With that in mind, there is one more issue still in production, which for now is scheduled for to be out November 16. It’ll be a flipped issue covering older music. And after that, it’s just year-end stuff to work on. We are close to the end! But before that, here are albums I enjoyed during October. And of course, here is a top 40 playlist of songs I liked from the month.
